MediaPro Expo launched in 2009 as an event pulling together publishing and marketing disciplines, representing the creative communications industry. In 2009 the event positioning was ‘a unique exhibition for all those involved in the creation, production, procurement and distribution of media and marketing communications’.
In 2010 the focus was moving towards identifying MediaPro as a true cross-media marketplace, balancing marketing and technology streams and standing apart from competitors as providing the latest industry insights into creative innovations.
As a long-term client, with a portfolio of 7 event websites, CloserStill Media and Wickedweb met to discuss the www.mediaproexpo.co.uk website, discussing the branding, website design, functionality and positioning in the highly competitive industry.
The MediaPro Expo needed to be positioned as THE industry exhibition and to achieve this, a fresh and modern design needed to be implemented. Our proposed strategy to achieve this goal was to;

The team at Wickedweb created a site that delivers many benefits for all parties connected to MediaPro. The integration with WickedwebCMS allows the administrator to manage and customise the content in order to help convince visitors of the relevance of the show and increase the likelihood of visiting or exhibiting. Data collection through the CMS allows MediaPro to market the event more specifically to different segments of the audience.
Creatively the site needed to reflect the wider messaging and positioning of the show - a strong corporate yet clean and fresh template was produced which is still flexible enough to change and reflect individual campaign messages.
Combining the modular functionality on Wickedweb's CMS platform with content to intrigue and excite the user, the MediaPro website offers a very dynamic and informative experience, positioning the event as a leader in the industry, and was a contributing factor to MediaPro’s 2010 show success.
