Existing client, Vega, didn't think twice about appointing Wickedweb to deliver a new suite of premium B2B websites, and it didn't take us a second to get to work...
Vega, a professional services and consulting company working for organisations in defence, government, aerospace, and critical national infrastructure, tasked Wickedweb with launching a suite of websites, featuring a fresh new design, and integration with Immediacy, all in 4 weeks! Recently purchased by Finmeccanica, an Italian industrial group operating globally, Vega, Vega Space and Selex SI, a prime contracting and systems integration business, all needed to be presented as a Finmeccanica Company online by January 1st 2009.
We set to work immediately, ensuring that, although the deadline was tight, no vital planning phases were left out. We put together sitemaps and wireframes, ensuring the structure and user journey were fully considered. The client was then presented with project specification documents for each of the three websites, detailing exact functionality and any bespoke development work that was required in Immediacy to deliver against the brief, including a vacancy and CV upload tool. Our attention then turned to design and, presented with the Finmeccanica guidelines, we created a suite of website templates that were simultaneously consistent with the brand, and flexible so that Vega, Vega Space and Selex SI could all be positioned differently, and as market leaders in their field. The templates were integrated with the Immediacy content management system, of which we were already a partner, so the transition and development from designs to functional website was seamless.
As Vega's existing web agency, we were well placed to deliver the project on brand, on time and on budget. Following the launch of the three websites, work began on the others in the portfolio, including Vega Germany and Vega France, to bring them all in-line with the new branding. Support, maintenance and ongoing search engine optimisation are services covered by Vega's monthly retainer, strengthening our relationship with the client as we continue to meet expectations and help improve website performance across the portfolio, raising awareness and respect for the companies in their industries. In addition, we created branded screensavers for each of the companies, helping to roll out the new style across all digital elements. The objective, to ensure that a user's online interaction with the brand is professional, premium and credible, has been achieved.
