Wickedweb helped Concern Worldwide to improve its digital communications with supporters, with the aim of increasing donations to help the organisation's invaluable international work continue.

Concern Worldwide, an international organisation dedicated to reducing suffering and working towards the elimination of extreme poverty, appointed Wickedweb to design and build a new suite of email templates to improve its digital communications with supporters.
The objectives were to ensure the design intrigued recipients, content was clearly presented and the call outs sparked action, whether that be to visit the Concern Worldwide website for more information or to donate to help provide Emergency aid.
We created three new templates to ensure Concern Worldwide had an appropriate email for each message they communicate - a newsletter for monthly updates, an emergency ask email for urgent aid requests in the event of a disaster, such as the 2006 tsunami in Asia, and an appeal email for raising awareness of a particular campaign. The emails are all fresh and modern, with strong imagery playing a key role. In addition, they look credible and professional which is vital in ensuring supporters feel safe donating to the cause. Finally, we introduced icons and bold call-out mechanics to draw the recipient's eye to 'what to do next', guiding their action and support.
Once approved, Wickedweb transformed the designs into HTML templates using best practice guidelines and our experience to ensure all regulations were rigidly met, whilst maintaining flexibility so that the emails are as easy for the Concern Worldwide team to update in house.
Following Wickedweb's success in delivering the email templates, the digital creative agency was also awarded the contract to create a flash ecard for the charity which will be sent to supporters to thank them for allowing Concern Worldwide to continue its work in 28 countries around the world. The flash ecard features an animated, spinning globe, which recipients can explore, to find out more about Concern Worldwide's work in several territories. Also featured is a 'send to a friend' facility which encourages users to share news of Concern Worldwide's programmes, and will hopefully stimulate additional supporters and new donations.
The New Media Fundraising Executive at Concern Worldwide said "Out of the many agencies considered, Wickedweb had by far the most interesting portfolio, detailing a wide range of high quality projects across many different areas of online marketing. Wickedweb's refreshing enthusiasm to deliver creative within strict budgets and timeframes, as well as their strong communication throughout all aspects of production, results in the type of relationship most clients only dream of."
