Digital Account Director

1.0 Description of the Role

At Wickedweb, the role of the Account Director is to grow client revenue and profitability, offer effective business strategy and planning, and deliver complete client satisfaction from the agency. This is achieved by recruiting the relevant resources and skills required to deliver against the client’s requirements.

2.0     Main Responsibilities

•    Owning the top level strategy to ensure what is being prepared by each channel is in sync with the client’s needs and goals
•    Leading the day to day internal operations of each client and working with the finance team to ensure everything from forecasting, billing and delivery is done correctly
•    Leading client calls and meetings, ensuring that the wider team is prepared and delivers against the client’s requirement
•    Identify and develop client cross-selling and upselling opportunities
•    Ensure that all deliverables are on time, of a high quality and to the client requirement
•    Ensure that all the client teams are working together and regularly meet to discuss overall strategy, progress and challenges

2.1 Client Responsibilities

•    Ability to translate client business goals into a fully integrated digital strategy
•    Be the client strategy lead and responsible for performance and meeting client KPI’s
•    Ensure the coordination of channel specific strategies and ensure they all feed into the correct requirement

2.2 Internal Responsibilities
 
•    Responsible for client forecasting and revenue management on a week to week basis.
•    Required to complete weekly revenue tracker for clients that feeds into weekly Client Partner meetings
•    Coordination of internal resource on clients and responsible for daily internal communications
•    Support finance team when required on client billing issues

2.3 New Business

•    Responsible for identifying and obtaining new business opportunities both from within their account group and working with Business Development to help attract new clients to their team.

2.3 Reporting

•    Present weekly 3 month account forecasts

3.0     Skills Requirements

•    Strong background in client and project management within the agency environment
•    Ideally holds either the CIM or IDM professional qualifications
•    Experience of running large brands and budgets across multiple channels
•    Experience of running international accounts an advantage
•    Strong account management, relationship building & client facing skills
•    Strong communication ability at all levels
•    Strong business development & sales skills
•    Strong written, verbal & presentation skills
•    Strong commercial acumen & ability to understand a client’s business needs
•    Strong organizational skills and ability to manage several simultaneous projects
•    A passion for digital marketing
•    Excellent relationship and leadership building capabilities
•    Excellent knowledge of digital technologies, including design and build and online marketing
•    Excellent written & verbal communication skills
•    Excellent commercial acumen  and an ability to understand the client’s business
•    Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage several simultaneous projects
•    Excellent interpersonal skills
•    Excellent under pressure
•    Excellent team player and ability to work independently

4.0 Reporting to

As an Account Director at Wickedweb your line manager is the Group Account Director, who works with you to ensure the client relations are strong and the agency is delivery excellent quality and service.

5.0 Key Performance Indicators

The role of the Account Director  will be monitored and reviewed on the following key performance indicators:

•    Revenue / profitability against targets
•    Client feedback form
